Omae Space Gallery

Seoul, South Korea

November, 2020

When I was at the exhibition, most people told me that they were surprised to see LEGO used like this. There were a lot of different opinions. Of course, I was happy to observe people’s reactions. There are many potential connections and relationships between the colors and the patterns of shapes.

It was nice to hear people talking about their lives while looking at my art. People just started talking openly. I still don’t know what it was. Maybe a childhood connection to the toy melted people a bit.

Something I didn’t plan but I discovered during the exhibition is that the shiny LEGO pieces reflect the color of the clothes that the viewer is wearing. The art works can become a different color depending on who is looking at them.
